Collection between realism and reverie

Garance Vallée was born in Paris in 1993. Introduced to art by her mother and her father, the painter Kriki, she studied architecture at the Ensa de Paris la Villette. A multifaceted artist, she soon branched out into other worlds: drawing, painting, sculpture, set design and object design. Her meeting with Italian architect Ada Tolla in New York proved decisive, encouraging the artist to assert her own aesthetic vocabulary, whatever the medium. A devotee of mixing styles and eras, Garance Vallée draws inspiration from Antiquity as much as from modernism to create works with blurred contours, which transform angles, play with perspective and muddy the lines between realism and reverie.
