An artist and designer, she founded her creative studio in Paris in 2007, adopting a transversal and multidisciplinary approach between objects, images, and spaces. Since 2012, she has been developing an approach of experimentation and research around the material earth and building it at the border between craftsmanship, design, and contemporary creation, with a strong exploratory and environmental dimension.

 The Emmanuelle Roule collection ×
By Charlot is an ode to artisans and crafts. Born from the shared desire of the artist and the founders of By Charlot to explore the idea of the raw, the living, and the radical as a return to the roots, to the essential.
 Emmanuelle Roule
The collection is an ode to artisans, to crafts, to gestures, to building, to sustainability in a strong dimension that combines art and utility.
The collection is called Ouso , a southern Portuguese name that evokes audacity.
Bold because the five grandiose pieces that make up the collection impose their massive silhouettes on the space, halfway between art and utility. These earthenware pieces were thrown by two renowned potters: Jean-Jacques Dubernard in Isère and François Roger in Paris.

" Each of the pieces created is the result of exploratory, artistic work carried out around light, texture and color which enter into relation with each other and with the surrounding space: the geography of form. "

ONE material: CLAY
The collection is rooted in the global thinking that drives Emmanuelle Roule's creative work: a true plea for the earth material. Clay, in particular, has invaluable qualities in her eyes, since its richness lies in its availability and numerous properties. A material accessible in many soils and relatively easy to extract, it can be used both as a building material and to make everyday objects. Clay therefore responds to the environmental challenges of our time and constitutes a resource for the future.
Totemic dimension
Named Totem, Vallon, Panacée and Kapla, the pots serve the plant to enhance its beauty, and the whole thing then becomes a true sculpture, taking on an almost totemic dimension.
