Céline Ruffet and Diane Cuny are the two women behind L'infuseur, a wellness brand that's creating a new way of life around infusions. Their encounter with By Charlot has given rise to an exclusive collaboration. A candle and infusion set that engages the senses for a comforting, pampering break. A meeting.

In a few words, what is the infuser?
Céline: The infuser is based on a simple observation: in our hectic lives, taking a break to enjoy an infusion is a meaningful return to naturalness, a deliberate slowdown. The infuser therefore creates a new art of living around the infusion. Thanks to it, you can treat yourself to a moment of pleasure and well-being. A way to take care of yourself and see the bright side of life!
Diane: With L'infuseur, we want to refresh the delicatessen and break its very traditional codes. Far from Grandma's herbal teas and medicinal decoctions, our infusions are designed like true cooking recipes. Céline is a true enthusiast who selects the finest ingredients and blends their textures, colors, and aromas to achieve an extraordinary subtlety of flavor.

You have a low-impact approach, what does that mean in concrete terms?
Céline: L'infuseur's goal is to bring plants from seed to cup, to be as close to nature as possible every step of the way. Many of our ingredients come from France, such as nettle, fennel, thyme, blackcurrant, and chicory. We work with family businesses known for their expertise spanning generations. For premium quality, we source the finest parts of the plants, and we've chosen not to grind them into powder, as is often the case. This could alter their taste and benefits.
Diane: We also pay great attention to the packaging of our plants. Our bags are made of corn starch, a very good plant-based alternative to plastic. Thanks to a thermal process, we have managed to eliminate the use of glue to close these bags. In short, the quality of our products, respect for the plants, and human relationships with our partners are our main driving force on a daily basis.

What was your background before the infuser?
Céline: I've experienced many cycles in my professional life, as my interests have evolved over time. I worked in music for years, going to concerts every night and having a blast. Then, I wanted to grow projects, so I took on management positions in startups. It was very stimulating but also exhausting. After a few years, I really needed to slow down. I felt more confident and capable of creating my own project. That's when I founded L'infuseur.
Diane: I have a slightly more traditional background. I worked for 15 years in international marketing at L'Oréal, in the luxury division. I had an unconditional love for designers, fashion, runway shows, materials... I worked for Shu Uemura, Agnès B, Cacharel, and Saint Laurent Beauty. Brands with incredible standards. And then, I reached the end of my experience, and I wanted something completely different. My goal was to work for a startup with strong values and products I was passionate about. A friend introduced me to Céline, and I immediately knew I had to work with her.
